First there was Jared who brought us the Subway diet. Now there's Christine who brings us the Taco Bell
Drive-thru diet? The same Taco Bell who produced the
Bacon Cheesy Potato Burrito and encourages us to eat a late night fourth meal. So now the chalupa slingers are encouraging us to adopt a "healthy"
eating lifestyle through this absurd short term profit plan. Well I have no doubt that
America will embrace this diet with flabby, obese, open arms. The fine print on the taco bell site reads as such:
Drive-Thru-Diet® is not a weight-loss program. For a healthier lifestyle, pay attention to total calorie and fat intake and regular exercise. Taco Bell's Fresco Menu can help with calorie reductions of 20 to 100 per item compared to corresponding products on our regular menu. Not a low calorie food.
I hope
common sense prevails here but I'm not optimistic.
